Gwynne Marshall is available to provide presentations & seminars about finding Strength in Balance.
While increased technology has business booming, worker productivity may be offset by a new epidemic of health complaints and physical damage, known as Silicon Valley Syndrome (Lumo Body Tech, Oct 2013). Characterized by chronic head, neck, upper, middle and lower back pain, headaches, eyestrain, wrist discomfort and a host of work-related injuries, Silicon Valley Syndrome is the result of abnormal spine alignment. We simply are not aware of what happens to our bodies as we bend our heads to text, contort our bodies to simultaneously type and talk, or weave our ways through crowds of device-addicted commuters.
With more than two-thirds of U.S. employers currently offering some kind of Wellness program, it is no surprise that spine health is considered a priority. To help address that priority, I offer various services, including small group sessions, to teach employees body mechanics, posture improvement, and stress reduction techniques. We can also arrange one-on-one coaching at individual workstations. I am happy to meet with you to discuss ways in which we can work together to help your company and employees comfortably deal with the demands of the work place, in the office, on the road or at home.
In the past I have presented seminars at Riverside Physical Therapy (www.riversideptnyc.com) and IntrinPsych Woman, a New York City based psychological health and wellness center (www.intrinpsychwoman.com) as well as other health and wellness centers.
